Student Organization Travel

Any student traveling for the purpose of a student organization, even under the auspices of an OSU department or faculty sponsor, must complete the Student Organization Transportation Request form (linked below) and submit it for approval to the specified individuals. Once the final approval from Risk Management is received, an email will be sent to Motor Pool as well as the student organization and Motor Pool will follow the instructions regarding the vehicle rental. In addition, all regulations must be followed according to OSU policy, including policies 1-0133 and 3-0160.

The Student Organization Transportation Request form is a Risk Management form subject to their approval processes. Any questions concerning the classification of travel activities should be sent to Risk Management for clarification.

Please note:
Even though approval has been given, there is no guarantee that a vehicle will be readily available from private car rental companies. Motor Pool will do its best to provide or obtain the vehicles requested, but the university has no responsibility to provide transportation for students traveling to university sponsored functions.
